Meet the Leadership Team: AgePlan's expertise is built upon an inter and intra disciplinary team of professionals from the academic, business, health, technology, social sciences, management and organizational disciplines. The management team has over 75 years of experience in leading multi-disciplinary cross functional teams in the health and business fields in the private and public sectors.  This experience includes, developing solutions to complex problems in the areas of training and employee development, health and life changes across the lifespan, as well as, developing and implementing company change paradigms.

Email Dr. Force. Dr. Lawrence T. Force, Ph.D., a Gerontologist, is the founder of AgePlan® Inc.,  a company that promotes building knowledge and connecting people toward an understanding of successful aging across the lifespan. Dr. Force has worked in the field of aging and developmental disabilities for over 25 years as a practitioner, academician, administrator, and researcher in both the public and private sector. Dr. Force is a nationally recognized leader in the area of end-of-life care for people with developmental disabilities. He is a co-author of the End-of Life Care: A Guide for Supporting Older People with Intellectual Disabilities and their Families. In addition, he has authored and collaborated on articles, chapters, monographs and technical reports that address topics of developmental models of aging, life-long disabilities, adult day health services, Alzheimer's disease, grief therapy for individuals with cognitive impairment and family caregiving. Dr. Force completed his graduate training in Psychology at the New School for Social Research and holds a doctorate in Social Welfare from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at SUNY/Albany. Dr. Force was sponsored as a Summer Institute Fellow at the National Institute on Aging (NIA) and the RAND Corporation. Dr. Force has received support and grant funding as a Principal Investigator (PI) from the National Institute of Health (NIH)  and has presented his work at national and international conferences.

Mr. Roger A. Monthie, M.Ed. CAS, MHA, President

Email Roger Monthie. Mr. Roger A. Monthie has worked for over 35 years in the fields’ of education, health care administration and developmental disabilities as a clinician, administrator and consultant in the public and private sector. Mr. Monthie's career has included executive management and leadership position for the State of New York, including the Director of the Capital District Developmental Disabilities Office, Associate Director and Deputy Director in the Hudson Valley and Broome regions of New York. Mr. Monthie’s career began as a school psychologist for the Holyoke Public School System in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Mr. Monthie received his Master of Education and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Counseling/Clinical Psychology from Springfield College in Springfield Massachusetts and a Master’s in Public/Health Administration from The New School for Social Research in New York. Currently, Mr. Monthie consults in the areas of management, leadership and organization effectiveness for public and private enterprises most recently in the States of New York, New Jersey, Texas, and New Mexico. Mr. Monthie joins AgePlan® providing expert knowledge in the provision of long term residential, clinical and day services supports to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, as well as, strategic planning, organization and administration of human service enterprises. Mr. Monthie brings a commitment to providing services and supports that are designed to improve and support the lives, choices and ongoing independence on individuals with aging and disabilities needs. 

Mr. Remi W. Thibodeau, MBA, VP Member Services

Email Remi Thibodeau. Mr. Thibodeau has over 25 years of experience as an executive and administrator with excellent managerial and organizational skills. He possess the ability to develop and institute strategic planning and budget administration.  His dedication and interpersonal skills have enhanced his leadership abilities during a multi-faceted career.   Prior to joining AgePlan®, Mr Thibodeau held the position of Assistant Executive Director for a human services organization; Controller of a human services organization and of an institute of higher education; Financial Manager of a county government health department; Operations Auditor for a supermarket corporation and Staff Accountant for a public accounting firm.  In addition to these career positions, he has worked as an Adjunct Professor in higher education and as the Member Relations Director for an Internet based educational web site.  Mr Thibodeau received his Masters in Business Administration at Pace University in Pleasantville, NY and his Bachelor of Science in Accounting at Syracuse University in Utica/Syracuse and served honorably in the United States Air Force.

Mr. Brian C. Monthie, MBA, VP Technology Services

Email Brian Monthie. Mr. Brian Monthie has over 5 years experience in Information Technology Support and Analysis.  A recent graduate of the Lally School of Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic  Institute (RPI), Mr. Monthie brings business strategy, project management, and technological entrepreneurship aptitude to AgePlan®. Prior to joining AgePlan®, Mr. Monthie freelanced as an audio and video engineer in the Television and Independent Film industry, including working with the morning television show, B.Smith’s with Style.  Using his production expertise, Mr. Monthie developed an engaging, entertaining, and interactive computer program to train direct support staff at the State of New York Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities. Mr. Monthie also helped roll out NYS OMRDD’s first IP-based videoconferencing system. Mr. Monthie holds certification in Novell Networking and IT Project Management from CompTIA.

Ms. Kimberly Coyle, MBA, VP Finance

Email Kimberly Coyle. Ms. Kimberly Coyle's experience includes both not for profit and private accounting and has held a variety of position as Chief Financial Officer, Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounts Payable Manager, Staff Accountant, and Credit Analyst.  Ms. Coyle possesses expertise in Financial report writing, including balance sheet, income statement, and ratio preparation with graphs; responsible for maintaining fixed assets schedules, financial forecasting models for rate adjustments to state agencies; oversee all aspects of accounts payable; review of rate packages; completed VESID and OMH vouchers; cash management and bank reconciliation; CSEP pricing proposals; Tax exempt Leasing Project administration; PPA proposals, including capital financing for state office fiscal review; preparation of Consolidate Budget Reports for Office of Mental Health and other local and state agencies; participation in annual budget preparation; expense analysis; benefits administrator; quarterly expense allocations; monthly closing with journal entries; grant maintenance; 941 employer tax; and payroll.  Ms. Coyle is a graduate of Pace University, and holds a graduate degree in Business Administration. Ms. Coyle volunteers as an Active Board Member, Finance Committee, and Audit Team Chairperson for local Child Development Center.  

Jennifer Livingston, J.D.

Email Jennifer Livingston. Jennifer Livingston is an attorney that practices in the area of civil rights and disability law, whose mission is to protect and advance the rights of adults and children who have disabilities so that they can freely exercise their own life choices, enforce their rights, and fully participate in their community life. Jennifer is primarily responsible for advocating for individuals with developmental disabilities through the Protection and Advocacy for persons with Developmental Disabilities (PADD) program. Jennifer is a founding member of the Special Education Task force which educates parents and advocates on Special Education. She also serves on the New York State Bar Association Committee on Issues Affecting Persons with Disabilities. Jennifer is a frequent lecturer on issues affecting individuals with disabilities, including lecturing at Albany Law School and New York State Bar Association continued legal education (CLE) courses. Jennifer received a J.D., cum laude, from Albany Law School in 2003 and a B.A. in English and Political Science, summa cum laude, from the State University of New York College at Fredonia.
